Sculptors who would like to build or donate sculptures to Sunday's auction and 10 photographers may participate. Several antique shop interiors are available for artists too. Space is limited: one artist per participating shop.  Colorful bandanas will help you spot the artists who will set up early on Saturday along main streets, back roads, marshes, woodlands, the river and inside stores and restaurants throughout town.  You are welcome to come any time during the day to watch them paint.

Artist Registration: $10 includes 1 ticket to auction. Click here to register

On Sunday, there will be a FREE PREVIEW of all the weekend's paintings from 12 - 3 pm, along with FREE DEMONSTRATIONS by two local artists: Michele O'Neil (watercolor demo) from 12 to 1:30 pm and Kate Hanlon (white line color woodcut demo) from 1:45 to 2:45 pm.

A Silent Auction of the previous day's paintings, sculptures and photographs will begin at 4 pm accompanied by live music from Old Cold Tater, hors d'oeuvres and a wine reception at the Allyn Cox Reservation, followed by a Live Auction at 6 pm hosted by Auctioneer, Michael March.

We are proud to announce that our first $1,000 scholarship will be awarded this year to a Cape Ann high school student who will be pursuing a career in art.  The scholarship will be presented at the beginning of our live auction on Sunday.

In addition to the scholarship fund, proceeds from the auction will be utilized by the Essex Merchants Group to promote Essex as a destination for shopping, dining, recreation and appreciation of our history and bountiful open space.

This event is brought to you by Eventide Fine Art Gallery, Essex Merchants Group and the Essex River Cultural District.
